Painted on location, this is Ocean's Ice Cream in Pacific Beach, San Diego as viewed from the side. The shark painted on the side is at the perfect height where people can pose in front of it with their head looking like it's going into the shark's mouth.

Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon."
