One of our favorite Texas state parks is Purtis Creek about 75 miles east of Dallas. There are lots of great hiking areas, and on one old dirt road was this abandoned truck. We had seen this truck several times over the years, and I took this picture in November 2005. A few years later, the truck was gone. Does any one know the model or vintage of this vehicle?

I am a retired University lecturer, and I have been an avid photographer for some 50 years. My wife and I love to travel. We like to see the US and we have had some wonderful journeys over the past 20 years. We went to Peru and Ecuador where we saw and photographed the plains of Nazca, Machu Picchu, a bit of the Amazon rainforest, and of course, The Galapagos. Less than a year later we spent two weeks driving around England (her birthplace.) In 2012, we traveled to France. We began in Nice on The Cote d'Azur.
