A view of the old town
through the arch of the city,
this river is part
of the Loire River Valley.
The buildings are centuries old
and except for
a few modern details,
could have been painted
a long, long time ago.
Some of these houses
are built
into the mountainsides,
the front doors
opening into
the cave behind.
We cycled
through this area
and found it
the most fascinating region
of our favorite European country,
France....
