I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.
This scene is looking west into the setting sun after a rainy day walk through Carbon Canyon Regional Park. I just liked that one tree on a hill overlooking the big gigantic puddle near the trail on my way back from the redwood grove.
On the leftmost side of the painting is the Carbon Canyon Dam. The dam�s construction began in 1959 and was completed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in May 1961. Carbon Canyon Regional Park was then created using the land upstream from the dam. There is a more traditional park setting closer to the entrance off of Carbon Canyon Road that includes a manmade lake, tennis courts and picnic areas. However I like the more wilderness side of the park that has hiking trails that lead back to a coastal redwood grove. The redwoods are in danger now due to the severe drought we are having. I hope we get more rain soon.
