My father owns the same truck its the same color and everything and it originally sat in grandfather's garage with a gravel driveway until we pulled it out and rescued it and this photo reminds me of that day cause the garage even looks the same too. I will eventually hang it on my wall im remodeling my living room and ima hang it on my wall when it's done to pay respect to my father who bought me my first home and someday he's leaving this truck to me to carry on its legacy.
"Painting My First Christmas Card" was a photograph that I took in a children's gallery of this young man so enjoying himself painting and trying really hard to paint something he liked. I really liked how the gallery allowed the children to be free after some basic pointer's to do what they felt like painting. I visited during a Christmas Open House, and saw him working. I painted this image myself in Photoshop and used brushes and some textures to get this image finished. He tried several pieces of paper trying to paint a Christmas tree (one on the immediate right). Someone came and helped him a bit but he finished one on the upper right. His writing of "Merry Christmas" was pretty wobbly so I helped him out a little bit as well. Hope you enjoy this image as much as I did taking the photo, meeting this young man and his mother and the other children and then finishing this up and my getting to paint was as much fun as he was obviously having!! Merry Christmas!!
