Description
Parma wallaby (Macropus parma). This species of wallaby was thought to be extinct, but was re- discovered in 1967. It prefers a habitat of wet sclerophyll forest, but can be also be found in dry eucalypt forest and rainforest. It is mainly nocturnal, but emerges before dusk to feed on grasses and herbs in forest clearings. This species is quite rare, but not under threat. Photographed in Australia.
