This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.
Artist's Description
Plato, (427-347 BC) Greek philosopher. Plato was one of the most important philosophers of antiquity. He helped to establish the Pythagorean tradition of the mathematical and geometrical analysis of nature, where his spirit of rational inquiry led to today's scientific method and his writings shaped Western thought. He was a pupil of Socrates and travelled through Greece, Italy and Egypt, returning to Athens in about 387 BC to found the Academy, a famous centre of learning, where one of his pupils was Aristotle. This 17th century portrait is an imaginary depiction of how Plato (who was called Platon in Latin) may have looked if he had been alive at that time.
