The print is much darker in person. It looks like an underexposed photo and hard to make out any detail on the bottom half of the print. Paper quality is good. Fast shipping.
Artist's Description
This blueprint-styled rendering represents one of the most recent models of the venerable and much-admired Porsche 911 that was introduced in 1963. Although unmistakably similar to the original 911, these later cars share no components with the earlier models and are a prime example of the Porsche "evolutionary" approach to automotive design and improvement. The drawing is presented in a multi-view layout showing basic dimensions and specifications of one of the great icons of the automotive industry. The prints will appeal to both the Porsche-phile and those interested in engineering and are available in a number of formats and sizes.
About Douglas Switzer
Ive been a total gearhead since I was a kid and first got introduced to cars and racing. I elected to make art and illustration my career and set out from college as an independent freelancer doing design and illustration work for a wide variety of clients. Ive been at it for over 40 years now. Back in the mid-1970s, I had the idea of doing a series of art-prints that were very technical-looking and would appeal to both engineering-types and automotive enthusiasts. These early designs were laminated onto plaques and marketed quite successfully. Now, some 40-odd years later, Im reviving the concept and once again, offering a product that will appeal to both art lovers and technical-types. Have a look through my current offerings...

I've always had a technical side and wanted to bridge that gap between technology and art. The "Blueplanprints" idea of drawings that simulate a blueprint is the embodiment of this idea. I started doing these things over 45 years ago and just now I'm "tweaking" them to a point that brings satisfaction, not only to myself, but many other like-minded people. I thank everyone for their kind comments and invite you all to watch for more Blueplanprints in the future.
