I was disappointed that the image on this pouch was not very clear. The zipper doesn't work real well, either.

Title: Psalm 121
Original: 2001, watercolor and colored pencil on Arches black paper
Clients: John's grandparents
Occasion: John's baptism . Used here with permission from the clients. The personalization has been digitally removed so others can purchase this design of Psalm 121.
Description: John's grandparents commissioned Psalm 121 to be given on his baptism day. It was his family's hope and prayer this scripture would be a life-long guide and inspiration for his relationship with the Lord.
This is the first of four pieces for their grandchildren. Fabrics from his birth country of Guatemala inspired the patterns and colors. John's birth day, adoption day, baptism day, parents, grandparents and great grandparents and Godparents are all incorporated into the design.
My fascination with the power of ‘thoughts made visible’ and the mystery of the word as a vehicle of communication has led me on a wonderful journey as I merge message and technique with watercolor, brush and pen into a finished piece. Each piece brings exploration, inspiration and discovery — on a concrete level as I work with my tools and experience; on a spiritual level as a passionate heart treasures God. My response to life’s journey is to work with words, be inspired by great texts, express the abstract more tangibly and ... listen ... for God's still, small, gentle voice within the cacophony of the ups and downs, joys and sorrows experienced. In this relationship God comes transforming, with hope-full and wonderful surprises!
