Description
Eisenbahnbrücke (Railway Bridge) c1875 by German Painter Paul Friedrich Meyerheim (1842 - 1915); one of the two artistic sons of Friedrich Eduard Meyerheim known primarily for painting animals; but he also dis portraits and landscapes.
This painting (one of three) of the Eisenbahnbrücke (Railway Bridge) that is part of the Railway Line Near Ehrenbreitstein, shows the intersection of travel technologies in the late 19th Century; with people riding a horse and carriage, it being the oldest mode of transportation and slowly being replaced by people riding the locomotive which is crossing the bridge between Ehrenbreitstein and Koblenz and people being ferried across a river by steamship.
This is a retouched digital art old masters reproduction of a public domain image.
