Using as a wallet
I stopped at Peyto Lake early one morning as I headed north along the Icefields Parkway in Banff National Park in Alberta Canada. To my great disappointment it was raining and foggy and the clouds hung low. Despite this, the turquoise color of the water was still evident, prompting me to stop back later in the day when the clouds had cleared somewhat! During the summer, significant amounts of glacial rock flour flow into the lake, and these suspended rock particles give the water a bright, turquoise color. This is one of the best views of the lake, seen from Bow Summit, the highest point on the Icefields Parkway. The lake was named for Bill Peyto, an early trail guide and trapper in the Banff area. The Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks of Banff, Jasper, Kootenay and Yoho along with three provincial parks comprise a UNESCO World Heritage site.
