A waterwheel at the entrance to the Fountain of Youth, St. Augustine. Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park, St. Augustine Florida is n the area first explored by Juan Ponce de Leon in 1513 and leter settled by Pedro Menendez de Aviles in 1565. At the Park, you can drink from the fountain which Ponce de Leon thought was the fountain of youth. St. Augustine is the oldest European settlement in the United States.
