This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
Artist's Description
Sailing by Karen Cook - What a magnificent sight! The schooner Bluenose II sailing the waters of St. Margaret's Bay near the iconic Peggy's Cove lighthouse as part of Operation Bluenose.
It is always a thrill to see the Bluenose sail by...no matter when or what the occasion.
Operation Bluenose is a 3 day virtual vigil across Nova Scotia where buildings like the iconic lighthouse at Peggy's Cove will be illuminated in blue, at night to showcase the strength of the people of Nova Scotia during this trying year of 2020. Combined with the dramatic lockdown of the Covid-19 Pandemic...this has been a stressful year.
The first sail of the Bluenose II in 2020 is timed to help celebrate the courage, and determination of Nova Scotians to move forward despite adversity. We are Nova Scotia strong after all!
