I started painting in 1973 when I was 28 years old, I'm now a senior citizen and still enjoy the excitment of creating a new work of art. I was born in Portland, Maine but spent all of my childhood in Worcester, Massachusetts. After graduating from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, went to work in Akron, Ohio after graduating with an engineering degree, never realizing that I had a latent talent in painting. One day a friend invited me to attend a painting class with him that was taught by a local artist, Margaret Stiles, in her studio. The rest is history.
