This American Railroad History photograph taken by Jack Delano in March, 1943, features a freight train on Santa Fe railroad departing from the Corwith Yard in Chicago, Illinois, and heading towards the west coast. Inaugurated in 1859, the Santa Fe railroad was one of the largest networks in the US.
