Love this duvet cover in the Tree Fort Suite of the Elk View Lodge, Fernie, BC, Canada.
Once upon a time a young girl wanted to believe in that second star to the right. Every night she would go out into her garden and send a wish and a prayer off into the night. It was a personal time for her. No one was around and the night was quiet and comforting. Then just as she started her wish she heard the sound of people talking and laughing. You see the look on her face as her quiet night and secret place were about to be found out.
With color and symbolism I paint personal issues, human issues. Transformation, enlightenment, pain, pleasure, life and death. I strive to portray the courage and growth it takes to move through the obstacles and triumphs of living on this earth. I started to paint at a very early age and found a way to express myself. My artwork is Expressionism. This is the way I have always communicated what is deeply personal to me. I reside in Oregon, on the coast. A beautiful place to communicate with nature, walk the beaches and be one with the Universe.
