This piece is very true to it's picture very defined. The cup itself is of fine quality as well. The story behind it was beautiful to read. When I look at it, it will take me back to the first time that I saw and read the story. Glad I took the time to purchase. No regrets!
Sedona, the most beautiful place in America, is an Arizona desert town that’s surrounded by red-rock buttes, steep canyon walls and pine forests. It was established in 1902.
Oak Creek Canyon Scenic Drive is a 14 mile drive between Sedona and Flagstaff, Arizona, a breathtaking stretch of soaring beauty on a winding canyon road.
The red rocks of Sedona are formed by a unique layer of rock known as the Schnebly Hill Formation. The Schnebly Hill Formation is a thick layer of red to orange-colored sandstone found only in the Sedona vicinity. The sandstone, a member of the Supai Group, was deposited during the Permian Period.
Sedona was named after Sedona Arabella Miller Schnebly (1877–1950), the wife of Theodore Carlton Schnebly, the city's first postmaster. She was celebrated for her hospitality and industriousness. Her mother, Amanda Miller, said she made the name up because "it sounded pretty".
