Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Also called the Sierpinski Gasket or Sieve, it is a fractal and attractive fixed set with the overall shape of an equilateral triangle, subdivided recursively into smaller equilateral triangles. Originally constructed as a curve, this is one of the basic examples of self-similar sets, ie. it is a mathematically generated pattern that can be reproducible at at any magnification or reduction. It is named after the Polish mathematician Waclaw Siepinski, but appeared as a decorative pattern many centuries before Sierpinski.
