I purchased three of these notebooks for gifts and I am thrilled with the purchase. Everything about the notebook is quality- the paper, the reproduction of the print and the way they were bagged for shipping. I will be back to purchase more soon.

As someone who was a fan of Sanford and Son TV show years ago, I am grateful to this artist for making this classic image based on a favorite episode of this show available for purchase.

Great.
Fine art nature photograph capturing a newborn Harbor Seal (Phoca vitulina) pup and its mom arriving on the beach in a protected seal rookery along the Pacific Ocean in Sonoma County, California. These darling pinnipeds have hauled out after a day in the water to sunbathe and sleep on the sandy beach. Seal cows get little rest even on the beach, as their adventurous pups often decide to head back into the ocean just when their moms are settling in for a nap. The mothers have to chase after their pups and herd them back onshore before a predator finds them. These marine mammals are federally protected so their rookery is off limits to humans and their pets during calving season. Harbor seal pregnancies lasts nine months, but the fertilized egg does not begin to develop for two months, aligning birth dates to the same time each year. This seal colony returns each year to pup on the beach in a protected cove. Harbor seal pups are born along the Northern California shoreline in late April...
I'm a native coastal Californian transplanted to the foothills of the Cascades. Being near the mountains has afforded me the opportunity to become attuned to seasonal rhythms and infuse that sense of time and place into my nature photography. I love to take off on roads less traveled, especially when it means losing myself in some remote place until I feel like being found. My portfolio includes natural landscapes, wildlife portraits, botanical macros, vintage architecture, cool geological formations, ranch life and a sprinkling of eccentric oddities that captured my imagination. I invite you to take a moment to peruse my galleries and follow me on Twitter: @EclecticImages. I hope you'll find something that makes you smile! .

Edit to add - your description is an awesome read and had I read it first, I wouldn't have been guessing ;)

How it is that I'm the first to comment on this image is beyond me! What an excellent capture, Kathleen. The look on (I'm guessing here) Mom's face is so adorable. These are stunning creatures.
Kathleen Bishop replied:
Thank you so much, Donna! This is a fairly recent posting and there are more cute seal pics that I haven't had time to review. I get caught up watching them and forget to take pictures!
