Description
Still Life with Mandarins and Pomegranates by Maggie. This time of year we always have mandarins and pomegranate. I remember even as a child that we would have these fruit. My mom would make us all a plate with favorites from Europe, like fine marzipan (my favorite type of chocolate that is difficult to get here and when you do find it, it is much too sweet) and German cakes and cookies. So yum!

Very nicely arrangement and capture Maggie. I like the inverted white glass and plate idea.
Maggie Terlecki replied:
Ha! I'm glad you noticed that. I wish I had a pedestal type dish but everytime I see one online, they cost an arm and a leg, so I improvised. Glad you like the idea. :-) Maggie

Such a drama !! Perfect composition and lighting. (My daughter's favorite fruit is the pomegranate, so it's been a constant in my life.) F/L++
Maggie Terlecki replied:
I love pomegranates too. They take forever to eat but each little jewel contains it's wonderful tart juice! Thank you, Nancy, for your kind comment :-) Maggie

I love it!! I do believe you used the available light coming through the window? You can't go wrong with that kind of lighting. Awesome job you did. I think is wonderful. :-)
Maggie Terlecki replied:
Thank you, Nick. Yes, The window light. I sometimes use flashes but if I can get natural light, I love it so much, it just always feels so right. I'm glad you like it.
