Summer In The City - Original photographic artwork by Heidi Smith.
Sunset was at 8:03. This image was made at 8:46. It's incredible how long the beautiful dusk light remains after sunset, and it seems especially beautiful in summer. This image was made at Rainbow Harbor in lovely Long Beach, California.

Great shot Heidi! I remember one particular sunset I was shooting in Cleveland where the sun set and I was there nearly an hour later to get shots just like you did here. I was and still am blown away by how long that sunset lasted. Again, Great work on your shot!

Heidi, You amaze me! I love this! I see you are taking the picture then processing it right away! No moss is on your shoes! (You know, the rolling stone, and the gathering of moss).. you aren't gathering any... Anyways, love the peachy tones, and the city looks wonderful.. FV

Thank you so much, Kym! I'm always so excited to see what images look like on the big screen (desktop) that I usually process the same day or sometimes the following day. This was taken last night. :)
