Description
Who’s afraid of the big bad tennis wolf mascot? This tennis wolf knows how to serve up an ace on the tennis court.
Wolves (canine lupus) are the largest species of canines, with over 30 subspecies. The wolf is social and travels in packs.
Some schools like University of New Mexico (UNM) and Sol Ross State (SRSU) utilize lobos (wolves in Spanish) as their mascots. Some colleges and universities are called the Wolfpack, like North Carolina State (NC State), University of Nevada Reno (UNR), Loyola New Orleans and Oak Hills (OHCC). There are other schools which have different variations on the wolf, including the Northwood Timberwolves, the Lourdes Gray Wolves, the Colorado State Pueblo Thunderwolves and the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves. Many schools also just use the plain wolf as their mascot such as Cardinal Stritch, Walla Walla, West Georgia (UWG), Newberry, Western Oregon (WOU), Cheyney and Northern State (NSU).
