The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

Out of the murky waters emerge menacing forms. Two massive sharks prowl though beds of seaweed in prehistoric ocean shallows. A little red crab, too small for the great predators to take notice of looks up from the sandy sea floor.
Continuing my series of aquatic themed paleoart, I decided to depict the biggest shark of all time: Megalodon. This was a shark four times the size of the modern Great White. If these creatures were around today and one came upon you scuba diving, it could swallow you in a single bite.

Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations.
