This piece artwork was the design and created painted by Carmen Lam special for Dr. Quincy Dobbs's created the musical “Three Pekes In A Pod “ A new Breed of Musical. and it will be used in the upcoming book "Three Pekes in a Pod" by Quincy Dobbs.
Cricket fight is a peculiar Chinese cultural life with heavily oriental characteristics, a kind of pleasure-seeking activity. It originated from the prosperous Tang Dynasty (618-907). whether it was high ranking government officials, aristocrats or ordinary citizens, they were all engaged in the activity. It was very popular during the Song Dynasty (960-1279), continuing into the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and even present-day society. People regard cricket fight as a kind of Chinese culture, just like the Chinese tea culture, intriguing and long-lasting.
