I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.
This is another version of my painting of this same scene from the end of Rocky 3 with Rocky and Apollo's punched connecting at the same time. Rocky owed Apollo a favor in fighting each other alone one last time so Apollo can redeem himself after losing against Rocky some years prior. This was inspired by the late Leroy Neiman and his version of this scene.
I have been an artist for as long as I can remember drawing Chiefs football players and cops and robbers as a little boy. I was born and now live back in Kansas City, MO after living 25 years in southern California.. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting/drawing, I pursued a career in painting portraits and fine art. At this time in 1987, I did an inspired painting of action star Sylvester Stallone and ended up selling it to him after contacting him with a little luck and have sold 10 paintings to Stallone since then.
