Bought this for my horse loving granddaughter and she absolutely loved it. Fabric has a nice texture and inside pillow is good and fluffy. Delivery occurred in a reasonable time.

I've painted this subject before, and I am always drawn to this plant in a close up view instead of the entire bloom. I like the structural aspect of this flower, and for me, that is what it's all about; the composition. This is from a photo I took in the little town of San Sebastian, Mexico, which is up in the mountains above Puerto Vallarta. I found this blooming in the tiny cathedral courtyard of the town.
My art career began in 1964 with drawings of Godzilla in battle with squadrons of fighter jets. Fellow first graders were my early collectors for these scenes of chaos; all free for the asking. At the time, no one knew I'd rather draw cars and castles, but the Godzilla drawings were so popular and made my friends so happy, I couldn't resist. When I was ten years old, my parents (AKA Santa Claus) gave me a microscope for Christmas. The entire process of using the microscope fascinated me; the lens that had two settings, the little rectangular glass slides, even the gray metal box it came in! I SO appreciate the comment. I have been fighting an uphill battle on this one. Several of my friends find it 'odd' and somehow lacking. It is actually one of my favorites too. I was fascinated with the geometry (for lack of a better word) of the leaves and the bloom itself. For me, in this one, it is all about the composition and the color, not necessarily the subject matter itself. I think my followers were expecting a full fledged representation of the Bird of Paradise flower the way they have always seen it. So it means a lot to me that you appreciate it.
