The Grand Place or Grote Markt , Great Market, is the central square of Brussels. The square is the most important tourist destination in the country and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The square is dominated by the Town Hall which was built in the 15th century. It has a spire so tall and its exterior is so detailed that you think it should be a cathedral. This imposing structure is surrounded by beautiful buildings that used to be guild halls.
Artist Statement and Biography I have always loved our national parks and the wondrous places our world has to visit. In my 45 years of amateur photographic activities, I have visited many of these places. My desire was to able to capture the beauty and grandeur of these places in my photography. I am 68 year old former law enforcement officer with over 35 years of experience in that field. I have recently retired from law enforcement to pursue my second love, Photography.
