I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

Relief (from Italian, rilievare: to raise) is a sculptural technique. This technique is quite ancient, and it has been used independently in many cultures from Mesoamerica to India. It is believed to have pre-dated sculpture, as it is easier to create than a free-standing full-figure.
Contemporary neo-classical reliefs can be found on the fa�es and in interiors of numerous buildings in many nations of the world. Many are in classical Roman or Greek style while others reflect a more natural approach to form, even some in an unfinished style reminiscent of Michelangelo's later sculptures.
