Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
The Turkey Vulture (Cathartes aura), also called Turkey Buzzard or Buzzard, is widespread in the Americas from southern Canada to the southern tip of South America. Five Turkey Vulture sub-species have been identified. They prefer habitat with open areas, shrublands, wetlands, deserts, foothills, and grasslands, and nest in hollow trees, caves, and thickets. Turkey Vultures that breed in Canada and the northern United States migrate south for the winter. They prefer diets of carrion, which they scavenge using their keen sense of smell to locate while flying. They are large birds, measuring about 26 inches in length and about 4 pounds in weight. Their heads are small in relationship to their bodies, covered with red skin and no feathers; their small hooked beaks are ivory white. Turkey Vultures are covered with dark brown feathers.
