Adam --great photo --I spent my summer childhood in Windham -- camped at North Lake, which feeds Kaaterskill Falls. Also, this area was a favorite for the "Hudson School" painters; i.e., Thomas Cole. You've photoed some very hallowed ground. Wonderful.
Adam Paashaus replied:
Cool Bill, I spent a couple weeks every year at North Lake as a kid and still get back fairly often. Last fall and a plan for this summer! Hudson River School art is my favorite and one reason I'm drawn towards the Catskills is the feeling I get from the past there! So much history all around "them hills"! Favorite painting...Asher B. Durand, Kindred Spirits.
