The Art of Paul Freidin Abstract Expressionism and Beyond Born during the Great Depression in Los Angeles. Started drawing as a child during Word War II. Formal art training at Chouinard Art Institute, Los Angeles in the 1950s. Earned a B.A. and M.A. in Anthropology at California State University, Los Anegels in the 1970s.
