Super high quality print, very happy with my purchase !!
In memory of Watergate - A man sits on the bench waiting for his train. He appears absorbed reading his newspaper. President Nixon and Dean are on the front page. A boy sits next to him eating his ices oblivious to the headlines. The Watergate scandal occupied most of the news in 1973. It was a defining moment in history when an American President was forced out of office. I remember standing at the top of the stairs to take this photo.

I didn't understand this magic. When I was old enough, I studied photography at Brooklyn College. I found that if I put my negatives in a thing called an enlarger a shadow would appear on photo paper. When I dropped that paper in some chemicals, a picture would emerge. Wow! I was hooked and so I studied at the International Center Of Photography. Now, I take a photo, plug my camera into my computer and the photo I just took pops up on my screen. Times have changed. I have had four one woman shows and one group show in Manhattan. It was an...

A fantastic photojournalistic shot. I must say, I also thought of Henry Kissinger as soon as I looked at the man in the foreground.
Madeline Ellis replied:
Thanks so much Robert. You know I never before noticed the resemblance to Kissinger, but I certainly see it now.
Madeline Ellis
Ayan, thank you for your very nice comment.

Thanks Dawn. I never noticed the resemblance to Kissenger.

Outstanding photo, and boy what memories this brings back! As a teen in a remote log cabin in Wyoming, I could only follow the historic events via a tiny, fuzzy and intermittent transistor radio. The absorbing interest on the newspaper reader's face is an iconic image. Oddly, the man closest to the camera reminds me a little of Henry Kissenger. Thanks for sharing this amazing picture!

Cool shot Madeline! Seems like only yesterday.
