The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
A large crowd marches down a street littered with rubber bullets and a tear gas canister shot by police. One person holds a sign with part of the words "No Justice No Peace" visible.
A large puddle next to the marchers reflects the words, "We feel you. We are here with you. We are so proud of you! -The Ancestors."
Ricardo finished this illustration in July 2020, as racial justice uprisings swept the United States. In Minneapolis, Chicago, Atlanta, Portland, Louisville, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Washington D.C., and countless other cities large and small, local, state and federal police attempted to quash the rebellion through overwhelming violence. Like in generations past, the hunger for justice has been greater than the state's repression.
About Ricardo Levins Morales
I was born in the coffee growing mountains of western Puerto Rico and moved to the US at a time of great social upheaval. My art has grown up inseparable entwined with my activism and sense of community. Art, to me, is a collection of medicinal herbs and nutrients that can help individuals, communities and societies overcome the cultural toxins that keep them from making needed changes. I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where I work out of a storefront studio. I live in close relationship with the social movements, organizers and activists who inspire my work.
