Description
This is a mixed media made on 01.05.23. Perhaps, its my first art piece of the New year. This was started to show others how to do collage in an art therapy group. I found one piece of paper with the words, "heart" and "wild" as well as a bunch of other random words, but for some reason those words called out to me so I ripped them out and put them together. I decided to add the Cherry Blossom next, but I wanted a simplified version. Then later, I decided to add hearts above the words and more cherry blossoms below. There's one person I work with who is always making Cherry Blossom trees and we were talking about the one in my back yard I purchased last Spring. I can't wait to see it bloom. To me, it can be a symbol of hope and comfort.
The "Sakura" cherry Blossom can represent new beginnings, renewal, and revival. It can also be associated with love.
Coincidentally enough, that very night that I made the art, God touched me with a deep healing and deliverance of a sexual trauma memory attached to a physical disease that I was diagnosed with. God showed me that I blamed God for abandoning me and treating me cruelly like my father; unfairly allowing me to have the disease, allowing me to suffer, and not doing anything about it because he didn't care enough or was even cruel, or perhaps because somehow suffering had to be part of my fate. God showed me that is not who He is. He is not a cruel God and he did not bring the disease onto me. He also showed me that the belief (although not believed intellectually because we know what scripture says, but experienced in a deeper visceral way) that He is a cruel God that would abandon me or let me suffer...that belief was preventing my healing. I needed to address that belief before I could receive my healing. Also, there was some kind of link to the disease, my sexual abuse, and that belief. God addressed it all, and I was able to repent for that belief, release it to God and receive my emotional and physical healing. I cried a very deep guttural cry from my very core and let it go. I coughed it out. I received my healing.
Examine what beliefs may be attached to the diseases and sufferings you are experiencing. What does God show you? Just forgive whoever hurt you, forgive yourself, and repent for seeing god in a way which isn't accurate. Then receive your healing. god wants to deliver us and heal us today.
The cherry blossom fits. It is marking a new season of deliverance, renewal and healing. Our hearts can become wild (unrestrained) enough to receive His love and believe His love. God does not wish to harm us, but give us a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Today we can be set free!
