Karen Cattel is a special artist and her whimsical art looks great on the two sturdy totes I purchased. One is a gift for a friend and the other is for me. I love them.

I so appreciate being able to have this old-fashioned outdoor dinner scene on a tote bag. It is adorable. Thank you for making it available.

I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

Quite beautiful!
These pretty yellow wildflowers are, apparently, not as common as I would have thought. My ID seems correct, but now I'm not 100% positive. It has a few common names, one of which is Opium Lettuce because the plant has slight opiate-like properties.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU EAT OR OTHERWISE INGEST THIS PLANT!
The photo was taken August 21, 2012, at Island Beach State Park, Seaside Park, New Jersey, USA. More information can be found at:

I always wanted to try photography, and my retirement offered an opportunity to do just that. The natural world is my first love. Here you will find pictures of things both large (landscapes, for instance) and small (macro) that catch my eye. I hope the images serve as a window into the natural world many of you don't have the chance to see. In a sense, I'm trying to create a guided nature trail, sharing what information I have about the subject. I'm always grateful for new and better information and welcome all input. Learning is food for the mind and soul. Nothing is ever harmed in the picture-taking process, but some things that wander into our home (like spiders) are carefully removed from the house after they serve as "models"....
