Inspired from my Pacific Northwest travels, love of nature and the many moods of the four seasons. Discovering and enjoying remote places from which I've experienced such content and peace, capturing it with brush strokes or camera, it's my wish to share that with you. So, for a moment, ... be still.
There is a three block long creek side, wooded area complete with a wide walk way, a wooden foot bridge across the stream used by all ages from the neighborhoods on one side. office, medical facility, strip mall businesses and the senior retirement center on the other. The variety of trees show off the changes of the seasons and wildlife have made it a favorite too. One winter day in 2006 there was a soft, slow long lasting snowing, which slowly accumulates on everything. For about fifteen minutes, the sun appeared and made it all like a movie fairyland. I grabbed my camera, ran out and clicked off all I could. This painting is inspired from that .... 15 minutes.
