Description
Lonely bouquet, with tears for water, she waits.
The path is empty beside the garden gates.
The room is silent, the blooms are aglow
But there's no one here to watch the show.
There is much to touch, smell and see
But there's just the floral basket and me.

Wonderful bouquet of flowers, Anne, with so many colours, and light, symbolizing life and joy and a sad, thoughtful description. Just as we see joy and sadness in our life, light and shade are part of our paintings! v/f

Jane, I made up the poem a few minutes after I uploaded the picture of my painting. Thank you for your thoughtful words. Thank you to the others who wrote comments as well. I have visited your sites and thanked you all individually but want to thank you again here. Blessings to all who happen to see this. Anne E. in Virginia, USA

So sad,but so very beautiful too. I wonder if you painted this with that verse in mind,or if the words came afterwards? Love the richness of colour you used. v/f
Anne-Elizabeth Whiteway replied:
The words came afterwards, but were truly heartfelt. Thank you Jane.
