This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.
Artist's Description
Outside of the studio where I studied the art of painting was this wonderful shed filled with freshly cut logs. As I sat and painted it ladybugs were everywhere - in the paint, on the canvas and falling in my hair but it was worth it because I wanted to capture the mood of the cool, crisp autumn day. The tree leaves are done by palette knife and an impasto technique was used to create texture for the stone wall and ground leaves. This rustic style painting done on in the Poconos in Northeastern Pennsylvania. This very original creation is framed with a two-tone rustic frame which perfectly complements the artwork. About Nancy Craig
The subjects favored by Nancy Craig are skies and trees and you will find both in many of her works. Her colors are sometimes monochromatic, sometimes vivid and bold and once in a while soft and pale. She has much admiration for Helen VanWyk even while knowing that her style might never be to paint her way - the Artist has still learned much by studying and watching her and reading her books. In her earlier years Nancy only seemed able to paint in total realism but now that is tempered with hints of impressionism. Her medium is always Oil - to her Oil is the very essence of painting. Nancy Craig loves the texture, the feel and luster of the paint and enjoys experimenting with it constantly as she applies it to canvas. Different brush...
