I am a native New Yorker. I will never give that up even though I crossed the Hudson to New Jersey in 1977. I have been a photographer since 1971 when I took a little rangefinder on a European vacation. My artistic instincts developed when I realized that the sharpness and technical "correctness" of photography was not appealing to me; I really wasn't interested in "reality". So I began softening my images and ultimately began creating abstracts, and then paintings. Today, my photographs are simply unfinished paintings.
