Hello, my name is Jessica Daw.
I am 18 and am doing a photography course at Polytechnic in Devonport. I work at Angus and Robertson and love it. I started the course to learn more about photography, because at the moment I take photos of things that I like and I don't worry about the technicalities. If it turns out, it turns out. I am learning more about how to use my camera, different ways to take photos and different job oppurtunities for photographers. I'm putting my early photographs on this website, to see what response I get to them, if I get any at all. I would like to know where I stand with it, because I would love to keep taking photos and I will no matter what, but I am still trying to decide whether it will be professionally or for my own amusement.
I don't use photoshop, because I don't see the necessity in it. I believe in taking the photo and then printing it for what it is. There is no point taking a photograph just manipulate it to a point where it isn't even a photo anymore. I may not have the absolute passion for photography that others do, but I do know what I like to do and I know what I'm comfortable with and putting these photos on this website was to show other people what I can do.
