Living on the Blue Ridge Mountain Range in Virginia serves as a beautiful backdrop for inspirational photographs and paintings. A retired art teacher, Laura uses her newly found time taking her artwork to a new level. She is now focusing on using her photographs as the subject matter of her paintings.
Her love for painting and photography has always been intertwined throughout the years. Photography began with a brownie camera when she was 6 years old and has never stopped being an extension of herself ever since. During the 90's she opened her own photography business called 'Innocent Images'. She took photos of children in outdoor natural settings. She mostly enjoys using the camera as an artistic tool capturing moments in time. Her illustrative photography is both narrative and draws emotion. Her photographs have been used on book covers and published in Jeep Magazine.
Presently, Laura keeps busy with commissioned paintings and and gives art lessons to both children and adults.
