Welcome to my portfolio, it's lovely to virtually meet you.
My photography is therapy for me, to have the chance to be creative and then bring the images back to photoshop is really good for me. I can lose myself for hours in photoshop [maybe i should learn how to use it].
I suffer with several mental health issues: Emotionally unstable personality disorder formerly known as borderline personality disorder, severe anxiety, severe depression and CPTSD.
Being creative and taking these pictures is a real benefit for my conditions, it forces me out of my comfort zone majorly as well as occupying my mind for long periods distracting me from bad thoughts and vivid memories.
I need this distraction to survive, that's a reality having had several hospital admissions previously.
I am a huge fan of the human form and the skin tones that are achievable when posing creatively and managing the light. To me, that's what photography is about.
I have a photo shoot booked with a very attractive model in the next 5 days after having written this bio. It will be my first shoot for over 5 years which as you can imagine is really stressing me out but i know i have to be strong this time, i can't cancel again.
If i achieve this shoot it will be a major major achievement for me and will hopefully give me the confidence to book another one when funds allow. Due to all of my mental health issues i can't work and live on welfare which to be honest isn't a great experience and would never be my first choice but since my partner found herself a new man after 27 years leading to a divorce i have no other options.
If you would like to see more of my work the only way that is likely to happen is through sales of my art. The proceeds from which will go directly into booking more shoots.
This would be of great benefit to me and provide major distractions for me which is of utmost importance. If i'm totally honest my mark up on the pictures is very meagre, Fine Art America take most of the money but as they say, every little helps and hopefully i will be able to continue.
My next planned shoot mentioned above is a nude shoot along with some implied nudes and headshots. I'm hoping you like what i create.
At this point i wish you a happy and prosperous future, remember to take care of the ones you love and who love you, it makes an important difference to all involved. Remember and this is important to let them know how you feel verbally, validation is more important than buying gifts, it makes them feel wanted.
