Changing My Website Title??

Good day all!!
When I post a link to FB or Pintrest, the preview lists my website as "Allison Harris - Website". How can I change my website title??

I don't believe it can be changed. It would be nice to be able to do that - because the "Title" attribute is one of the more important items in the search engines' ranking algorithms.

Well that's disappointing.

Indeed!
It would be nice if we could at least get some sort of descriptive terms in there - other than "Website" - to let people know the basics of what we have to offer.

It would actually have a more professional approach if the "Website" was deleted and just have our names appear. It almost seems like we chose a template and forgot to change the default title.

Allison, your website link isn't working in the contact button

When I post to facebook and Pinterest it shows "Carlin-Blahnik.Pixels.com". (not "website")
I don't know if I would want it to say "Carlin-Blahnik-CarlinArtWatercolor.Pixels.... " That would be way too long of a URL (and google doesn't like long URLs).
Posts are meant to be visual, so, I don't get how it matters what the link is???
If a viewer likes the image they see and the post description, they will click on it, yes?

Hi

You can change your name at any time.

At the top of the FAA or Pixels site, in the menu to the right, is a drop down when logged in.

PROFILE page takes you to all your art as you have set it up
BEHIND THE SCENES is the administration area where all the tools are to set up the site.

See CONTACT INFORMATION

If you just want one name, leave a space in the other area.

If you also need the URL changed, please reply to this email and tell me exactly the name you wish. It must be under 20 characters (not including the main address) and must not contain any special characters apart from a - if you require one. That is included in the 20 characters.

PLEASE NOTE If you change your name and links then you need to re-advertise all the images you have already shared anywhere as the links will now be broken. Our search will take 24 hours to catch up.

You may be able to change the Facebook card data after you load the link but before you share/post. You could also change the image associated with the link during this time as well.

You could try different versions of titles and post at different times to see which resonated the most on Facebook.

If you tweak something on your page directly and want Facebook to scrape the new info, try using this tool: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/

Hope it helps.
