Legit Or Not?

“Hi We came across your page and we truly loved your work!
We have over 140.000 followers. We would like to post your pictures on our profile! If our followers see your work a lot of them are extremely likely to follow you.
I hope this sounds good since we are convinced you would increase your numbers significantly.

What do you think of becoming a part of our team.
I am always skeptical about emails but this one at least used good grammar! He gave a name and a @ so and so address but no link to the site ! A big flag! Can anything happen if I respond eg a virus or any other sinister outcome! I’m afraid to answer the email! What’s the worst thing that can happen!

first ask to see what page it is. or what they want in return. its hard to know what the worst thing is, it depends what they ask for. it seems weird that they want you to be a part of their team. i don't know what that even means.

you can always reply and ask:

what page?
what image?
where did they find you?
and what team?

I often ignore those, and if they are really serious then tend to come back and ask again.

Get that profile and do some investigating before you bite. From my desk, it smells like some sort of scam.

Mike it was part of their feed( not team). I reread it! I’ll ask further but seems to me they should have been forthcoming with a link to their profile initially. It’s very fishy ! I get so many scam emails from usps etc and forewarnings by experts to never respond to unknown senders! The internet can be a dangerous place!ill dig further I guess! Thanks everyone

Personally I would ignore it. Too vague. No details.

Sounds like they are looking for free stuff to use in their Instagram feed. I always ignore those.

Yes I agree much too vague! They probably are trying to get me to buy followers etc I’ll sleep on it 🥱

A downside is if you reply, they'll have your personal email address. I assume the correspondence came through FAA?

I would not trust this. At all.
