A vibrant, pulsing showing of the northern lights (aurora borealis) and possible beginning of an ionized gas plume called "Steve' makes it's appearance over Kootenay Lake, BC. on Sept. 28, 2017. The lights created by cars on a nearby highway and houses in the distance provide interest to the image.
