This piece is very true to it's picture very defined. The cup itself is of fine quality as well. The story behind it was beautiful to read. When I look at it, it will take me back to the first time that I saw and read the story. Glad I took the time to purchase. No regrets!
The Jama Masjid is an Islamic house of prayer (mosque), located in the older part of New Delhi (the capital of India). The Jama Masjid was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, who also built the Taj Mahal. The Jama Masjid is a huge structure, with the courtyard able to accomodate upto 25,000 worshippers. The mosque was completed in the year 1656, and is located in the older section of the city of Delhi.
At a time when prayers are not happening, there are people who come there to visit, such as this young child who was playing in the courtyard.
The Jama Masjid is one of the major landmarks in Delhi, being the primary mosque in Old Delhi. It was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, who also built the Red Fort in Delhi and whose most famous buildings was the Taj Mahal in Agra. The completion of the Jama Masjid was complete in the year 1656 AD, and the full name of the mosque is Masjid-i Jahān-Numā.
