This painting was inspired by the wonderful rock formations that sprinkle the coast of Oregon and Washington State. Large sea stacks and odd formations create beautiful tidal formations and provide exciting locations for exploration.
If you are planning a vacation to the West Coast, I recommend moving north of those sunny California beaches and thread your way along the northern states of Washington and Oregon. Make it to Cape Flattery, and you've made it to the most Northwestern point on the contiguous United States.
