Artist's Description
When the fish aren't biting, I take pictures! Eagle Lake has wonderful trout, but in between catches, it is often fun to take some shots. The sky is altered by the smoke from the many forest fires burning in northern California during August, 2012.

Beautiful work Kirsten. Such a peaceful feel to Eagle Lake!!
Kirsten Giving replied:
Hello Neal! It is so peaceful up there high in the Sierras. There are only campgrounds plus one small town at the far north end; almost 25 miles away. The lake is the second largest natural lake in Cal., next to Tahoe. The E Lk. trout it red meat and world renowned--yum! The smoke very likely affected the biting of the fish, so this year, fishing was not very good. Thank you for the lovely comment. Kirsten
