Description
Gas chromatograph column coil. The coil separates a gas sample into individual compounds so that they can be separately detected, identified and quantified. It forms part of a machine called a gas chromatograph (GC) analyser, here being used to perform gas composition measurements on biogas samples. Photographed in 2015, at the National Physical Laboratory, Teddington, UK.
