This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

Artist's Description
This is a film image taken at a time exposure with the house about X pan camera using a 45 mm prime lens. I did not have a tripod so I made the exposure by putting the camera on a rock and guessing at a three second exposure. This image was the centerpiece for a photo show given to raise money for Phoenix Children's Hospital in 2009. Image looks very good and I've produced prints up to 5 feet long.
About Larry Sobel
Larry has been shooting photos since childhood. He grew up in photography. His father, Norm was a graduate of the Pensacola School of Naval Photography. When he returned to the civilian world, he started a career in retail photography. Norm went on to build a retail photo business that included six stores in the Detroit Metro area. Larry was always fascinated with the field and learned photography early in life. Darkroom work was encouraged and Larry worked in the stores during high school and college. Lobby Hobby Cameras occupied his interest whenever he had any free time. He studied the legendary photographers and there images and learned the art of composition. Larry went on to become a family physician practicing in Phoenix...
